Located in the old neighborhood of Koum Kapi, just a stone’s throw from the old town of Chania, Elor house is the adult, urban sister of Ammos hotel. Originally built in the early 20th century, the house used to be the owner Nikos Tsepetis’ residence for fifteen years.
After several years in disuse, Nikos decided to bring the house back to life. Borrowing the design principles of Ammos hotel, the 110 sq.m. two-storey house is defined by a carefully-curated selection of design furniture and original art pieces from the owner’s private collection, with an emphasis on nature and plants. A hanging garden designed by Ammos’ gardener, Giannis Zakinthynakis, dominates the sunny, furnished terrace that can be found on the top floor. Elor is an open-plan space, featuring loft-style layouts, with a dining area, a kitchen, a bathroom, one bedroom, and an impressive library on the ground floor and a living room, a bathroom, and the main bedroom on the second floor.
