Since she was a child, Xenia Papastavrou was dreaming of working in a humanitarian organization in a far away country. She finally did it in her own country, as she inspired and created the Non Profitable Organization “Boroume” which in Greek stands for “We can”. The NGO was launched by herself, Alexander Theodoridis and Alexia Moatsou in January 2012, with the objective to satisfy everyone’s right to food. ‘’Boroume’’ is offering food every week to about 5.000 people who need it and at the same time has attracted many volunteers and the Media attention. In Greece today, Xenia Papastavrou represents an inspirational example of solidarity and support to others.
