On a vibrant pedestrian street in Piraeus, Temps Perdu reimagines the bakery experience, blending flavors and memories with the art of time. Inspired by Marcel Proust’s In Search of Lost Time, the store transforms “lost time” into moments relived through taste. Designed by Saint of Athens, the space pairs industrial minimalism with urban warmth. A transparent façade offers passersby a glimpse into the craft within, while exposed materials and understated lighting reflect the care and precision behind every creation. Behind the counter, chefs Giannis Vlasiou and Dimitris Dritsas craft culinary masterpieces that bridge tradition and innovation. From buttery croissants to imaginative sweet and savory creations, their menu emphasizes seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Each bite evokes a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of Proust’s madeleine—a tribute to the interplay of taste and memory.
