For Autumn/Winter 24-25, Zeus+Dione unveils Chronos, a collection inspired by the eternal love story of the Sun and Selene—the Sun as the daytime ruler and the Moon as the nighttime empress. Their rare eclipses symbolize fleeting connections against a backdrop of crisp, starlit skies. Designer Marios Schwab translates celestial themes into ready-to-wear pieces, capturing the beauty of full moons and planetary alignments in a way that resonates with our daily lives. The collection features exquisite spathoto silk that embodies the essence of ‘Chronos’, the god of time. The ‘Tempo’ spathoto reflects the linear flow of time, while the ‘Dégradé’ spathoto showcases a gradient from twilight navy to the golden hues of a Greek sunrise, with rich shades of chocolate, burnt orange, and earthy clay in between. Materials like luxurious shearling and knits symbolize the passage of time, while the letter ‘Alpha’ guides the silhouettes. Sunray pleats mimic the changing sky, and sheer maxi dresses portray landscapes from dusk to midnight. Wool-blend and neoprene are reimagined into versatile day-to-night pieces. The accompanying jewellery line tells a story of evolution, starting with silver crescents and full moons and moving to golden sun charms. Moonstone pieces reflect a soft lunar glow, while embossed leather details evoke the radiant faces of Sun and Selene. The signature spathoto pattern adorns chokers and rings, and the standout ‘Philotera’ series features robust, gear-like designs, reflecting the intricate workings of time.
