Inspired by the experience of the summer holidays, Kookoo represents a very contemporary post-summer collection, full of color, motifs and prints. The Kalla Shopping Bag, the Alecca Pouch bag and the Pliz Slip made out of fabric and ippolito’s fine leather are the three styles that are introduced by Pavlina Papailiopoulou in this flash collection.
In Greece fall is like an extended summer, just slightly cooler and milder, and during the month of September one finds it hard it to adjust to the urban rhythm again. The idea behind Kookoo is that post-vacation blues can be replaced with craziness and randomness and this is the first time that ippolito treats customers with a collection full of humor. This concept gave the collection its launch right before the FW1516 official one; and it is super limited.
The heroins of the Kookoo Campaign –Kelly the english teacher, Alexia the fashion designer and Nicole the yoga teacher- are three free spirited, cheerful and mind-blowing crazy beings. In fact, after spending three weeks non-stop with these ladies, Pavlina was highly inspired and driven to create something out of it. As a result for the campaign, the ippolito team collaborated with photographer Charlie Makkos who captured ippolito’s muses’ most kooky characteristics.
