Wheelight is an illuminating series by roumelight inspired not only by a sporty and ecological mode of transport but also by a lifestyle full of energy, inventiveness and creativity. Every Wheelight is unique, both in terms of appearance and lighting performance and has a different pattern depending on the area hosted and the style it represents.
The Wheelights illuminate through a pair of lighting rings: an inner bright wreath carrying dimmable G4 lamps and an exterior lighting ring concealed by a perforated sheet, ideal for romantic moments! These installations usually feature a glass or acrylic glass background panel that reflects the double circumferential glowing rings. This only occurs for the wall lightings, while the absence of background panel on the other versions (ceiling, desktop and freestanding one) achieves a better symmetry and permeability.
The “Wheelight classic“ is a recycled silver-painted bicycle wheel that illuminates in front of a black glass canvas. It is the first edition of the Wheelight series that represents not only an eco – friendly mode of transportation but also a positive way of thinking, full of inventive ideas and creativity. Wheelight sport is the athletic version of the Wheelight series: a yellow acrylic glass canvas attaches a more dynamic character and creates different shades and colors, depending on which lighting ring is active.
The background golden mirror in the NYC Wheelight, characterizes New York, the city to which this contruction was granted and exposed to charity during Supparting Students social project. The use of an RGB ledtape adapted to the external tangent of the wheel, delivers a more playful character to the installation. Finally, the Wheelight Ceiling constitutes a more austere version of the homonymous lighting series. Without any background or external lighting ring, it is fitted with a double gear in order to balance on a pair of chains, giving the sense of enlightened movement.
