KORRES Recycle Lab prides itself on creating eco-friendly, quality goods that celebrate a circular economy and inspire positive sustainable change. Teaming up with the KORRES Recycle Lab to launch two simple, well-functioning objects with a strong design identity, is part of a sharing, common drive to create more sustainable products using recycled raw materials. Both ethical and beautiful, a hair comb and a dish soap were designed by the KORRES in-house Industrial Design team.
For the two products, PP & PE plastic, collected from empty cosmetic containers in multiple hues, was melted down to form the marbled effect, turning waste into useful, everyday objects. The aim was to create simple shapes in deep blue shades that catch the eye, whilst representing how a product can be beautifully reinvented using empty containers. The slight variation in the recycled material adds depth and gives the objects a story while making them the perfect accompaniment to a moment of self-care.
A portion of the profits will go to Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation– a non-profit, non-governmental organization researching and defending the biodiversity of the Greek seas. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the increasing threats to biodiversity in the Northeastern Mediterranean. Archipelagos paves the way for the protection of the seas, playing a vital role in the conservation of wildlife and ecosystems in the Greek seas and islands
The products are available to purchase at The Greek Foundation Shop.
