In the lively heart of Athens, a public building from the late 60s has undergone a remarkable transformation by the renowned OOAK architects. This change has resulted in the creation of the four-star Social Hotel in Kolonaki, featuring 24 thoughtfully curated rooms. The architects’ vision was to craft a haven where travelers can experience Athens genuinely. The architects took inspiration from the lively city life and mixed it with a desire for elegance and calmness. Situated in the chic Kolonaki neighborhood, along the iconic Voukourestiou Street, this strategic locale caters seamlessly to both leisure and business travelers. Upon entering the hotel’s ground floor, guests are welcomed into a space that transcends boundaries between the public and private spheres. With a distinct entrance from the main reception area, this level houses a novel restaurant and bar – destined to become a rendezvous point for both travelers and locals.
Vibrant and open, the space aims to seamlessly interact with the city, offering a first taste of the rich, authentic, and effervescent Athenian city life.
Drawing inspiration from nature’s elements and timeless design, the seven-story hotel boasts a variety of room options and suites. Each space incorporates premium indigenous materials, bathed in calming neutral tones. The newly designed white façade, adorned with Greek architectural motifs, serves as a testament to the hotel’s integration into the city’s landscape. Living foliage gracing the façade acts as a natural filter, offering additional privacy, filtering out noise and purifying the air. With Athens’ rich culture, way of life, and historical sites just a short walk away, visitors are in for an exciting adventure. The hotel’s gym on the top floor also provides stunning views of Lycabettus Hill.
