Perched on the serene island of Tinos, Greece, Carilia is a 240-square-meter residence carefully renovated by architect Ioanna Vlachaki. The two-floor house balances the island’s traditional architecture with modern, sculptural touches, creating a luxurious retreat that honors the rich heritage of Tinos. With four spacious bedrooms, the house is designed to maximize breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea through expansive windows. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living areas flow seamlessly to the poolside, offering a natural connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Abundant light fills these areas, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Carilia’s material palette—featuring local marble, stone, wood, and rattan—complements its minimalist design, blending tradition with contemporary elegance. The residence captures the essence of Tinos, offering an immersive experience that celebrates the island’s culture and natural beauty.
