LoT Architects transformed a 75 sq. m. loft space in Brooklyn (New York), into a private residence for a young couple, an efficient and comfortable space that combines custom-made fittings, designer items, and handmade artifacts. The seemingly mismatched furniture has been creatively assembled, resulting to a welcoming home for creative strays with a flotsam and artsy feel. The custom-made, large dinning table was designed using plywood sheets that are put together like notched cards, without the need for screws or bolts. Hence, it can be easily dismantled and put aside for welcoming guests at social gatherings and parties. The giant blackboard in the kitchen is a handy way to leave notes and messages, while the all-white bedroom is a quiet and peaceful retreat at the end of the day.
