Normless studio transforms a liminal space, located in Syros, Cyclades, to a bright and cozy concept store. The design team was challenged with a narrow space and a small window display overlooking the main commercial street of the island.
The design concept was to take advantage of the two-leveled space by blurring its borders and highlighting the backspace. The 5m high back wall was coated with a bright wallpaper, featuring a handmade hanger installation showcasing the designers’ clothes and becoming a focal point within the store.
Multilevel wooden cubes are used as exhibit stands, and help create a smooth transition from one level to the other.
A horizontal and vertical railings display system generates an open and simplistic environment, combined with a neutral color palette that creates an ideal background for the colorful clothes and design products of the store.
