In Chalandri, Athens, Sotiris Hainis Architecture has crafted a vibrant duplex apartment that blends natural vistas with bold, artistic interior design. Overlooking a lush park and the Chalandri Creek, this home is designed around a green core, which houses the apartment’s vertical circulation and includes the main entrance, staircase, and guest bathroom. The main level’s open-plan layout integrates the kitchen, dining, and living areas, with a fireplace that discreetly conceals the TV. A palette of bright hues—a pink sofa, yellow velvet armchair, and green marble coffee tables—animates the space, complemented by artworks from Dean Monogenis, Tassos Pavlopoulos, and Hope. A yellow corridor leads to three bedrooms and two bathrooms, each detailed with custom ceramic tiles, lacquered cabinetry, and metal finishes. Upstairs, a playroom and kitchenette open onto a terrace with a wooden deck for lounging and an elevated, tile-clad pool, creating a serene oasis that marries urban style with natural beauty.
