In the area of Chalandri, a design-savvy couple along with their young son sought to revitalize their mid-80s apartment, enlisting Athens-based Pleasance Construction for the task. The team took over the renovation not only honoring the apartment’s original charm but infusing it with contemporary flair through a nice play of color, texture, and form. The kitchen underwent a significant transformation, making way for a versatile area combining a wooden booth, a functional home office, and a utility space, all adorned with trendy terrazzo walls and refreshing green accents. In the bathroom, custom terrazzo introduced a touch of luxury, while green vertical tiles in the walk-in shower echoed the apartment’s lively palette. The child’s bedroom received a charming yet practical makeover, featuring a spacious desk and ample storage for toys and books. As Lead architect Olia Charalampopoulou states, “We were able to translate their personalities, interests and requirements into a joyous, bright, fun space that still provides all the practical qualities needed for a busy functional family home”.
