Located in Heraklion, Crete, Ikaros Suites is a hotel designed by ITS A TRAP SPACE STUDIO. Set in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, the hotel follows a minimalistic style, designed in a modern yet timeless spirit. Highlighting the local architecture’s traditional morphological elements, while using a modern language, the design studio creates a dialogue between old and new, encountered with the juxtaposition of traditional furnishings, symbolic artworks, and contemporary design pieces. The presence of nature in the space is felt through the wood paneling covering the beds, and the stone plinths used as side tables, while plants give an illuminating and fresh sense to the space, and artworks inspired by local natural landscapes serve as living works of art.
