B house is a private residence designed by Office 25 Architects for a four member family, located in a rural area at the east side of Thessaloniki, Greece. The house is built on a privileged spot, overlooking the Thermaikos gulf, the city of Thessaloniki and mount Olympus. On the ground floor the architects designed all the spaces where the family and guests spend most of their time, such as the living room, the kitchen with the dinning space, a guest room and a bathroom. From this level one can reach the main garden, the barbecue and the pool. The private spaces of the house, such as the master bedroom and the two children bedrooms were designed on the first floor, while in the basement, there is a gym with a sauna, a playroom, perking spaces and staff premises. Office 25 Architects aimed at designing a house that exploits all views without having traditional references in its form. There are three main blocks that determine the architectural form, just like a Lego construction. As for the building shell colors, they chose white and grey, in order to pronounce the colors and textures of the construction materials, such as exposed concrete, wood, aluminum and glass.
