The Apivita Experience Store is an innovative, multi-space retail store in the center of Athens, a focal point for health products with a unique atmosphere rich in artistic elements and details. The store has been designed by architect Irene Bourlou and is nestled in the area of Kolonaki, in an imposing neoclassical building. The exterior door and the registry area are both custom-designed projects by sculptor Nikos Yiorgos Papoutsidis. The ground floor is dominated by a large ‘filoxenia’ table made of wooden bee hives, where visitors are treated to hot tea and honey. In the middle, an impressive olive tree, by sculptor Konstantinos Valaes, is a symbol for wisdom, knowledge and Greek nature.
Greek renowned fashion designer Yiorgos Eleftheriades designed the staff’s uniforms that depict the meaning of beauty as simple, elegant and functional clothes. The products of the store are in the spotlight and are presented with particular aesthetics that combine traditional patterns with custom-made, industrial-style, black metal structures. The ‘Natural Pharmacy’ on the first floor allows customers to create their own personal cosmetics, combining essential oils and aromatherapy as well as different active ingredients such as minerals, vitamins etc., with the help of a qualified pharmacist and aromatherapy specialist.
Juicy Bee – the first strictly organic juice bar in Athens – offers smoothies, green juice, detox juices, superfoods, freshly made almond milk, wheatgrass shots, and combines fresh organic ingredients in original recipes. The Hippocrates lecture hall on the second floor is a cultural and intellectual focal point for art exhibitions, talks, lectures and seminars, that aims to become a cradle of knowledge for Greek nature and the Bee society.
The Nature’s Ηair Studio & Barber Shop offers advanced natural hair products, natural hair colors, expert advice from the qualified staff and traditional services for men’s hair care. Finally, the Beehive Spa on the top floor offers unique bee products and 13 Hippocratic treatments in spa cabins made of real wooden bee hive parts and a ceiling made of honey tinted crystal elements that literally immerse the visitor in the bee world.
