‘Halt’ means an urgent injunction to stop. Its immediate exclamation is used as a title for this series in order to identify somehow sharp and clearly the need for this narrative. This sudden stop, the alertness, the energetic attitude, are all vital. Not with the military sense of course, but with a clear desire to observe changes that took time to occur through the constant interaction between humans and landscape. The capturing of only one snapshot of this continually ongoing frame of changes motivates Konstantinos Doumpenidis to consider what it was before and what it will be in the future, placing it in an isolated space and time.
It happens ever more frequently to forget considering that today is the eternal and inevitable.
The narrative that follows makes the suffocating explosive, static and causes the unstable to move once again.
The unfinished process restarts by giving another meaning to the course.
