Gaidaros is a bistort bar that re-negotiates Greek Chic, bringing back the vintage aura and memories of a different, charming era to Athens’ everyday life. Jazz swing, funk and soul music create a festive and groovy atmosphere, combined with a cherished food and cocktails menu. Greek coffee prepared using the traditional coffeepot and served alongside marshmallows, teas served in vintage cups, are followed by meals cooked using fresh Greek products, a type of comfort food adaptable to seasonal changes: cornbread, rocket salad, Greek trout with orange mayo, baby spinach with dried fig, lentil salad with eggs and sun-dried tomatoes, to mention a few. A great variety of Greek cheese such as Lesbos ladotiri and Amfilohia graviera, along with penne pasta with mincemeat and sausage can later be toped up by deserts that bring back childhood memories: chocolate pie, orange pie and sour cherry preserve.
