Studio Aristotelis Barakos and Aumorfia unveil the Hecate lighting collection, a harmonious fusion of contemporary design and ancient mysticism. The designs—a tabletop, floor, and pendant lamp—artfully merge sumptuous leatherwork with historical references. Named after the Greek goddess Hecate, the guardian of homes and crossroads and overseer of the moon and underworld, this collection reflects her multifaceted nature. The lamps’ design uses symmetrical geometric principles to create a visual equilibrium, with three curved leather segments encircling an illuminated opaline sphere. This design evokes Hecate’s triadic persona and the lunar cycle’s rhythm. Industrial designer Aristotelis Barakos and Aumorfia’s founder, leather designer Theano Ravazoula-Potamianou, blend their expertise to create these carefully handcrafted pieces in Athens. The luxurious leather, carefully stitched, forms a modern tripod structure that cradles the glowing sphere, creating a captivating centerpiece.
