Situated in the scenic foothills of Alikampos village in Chania, Crete, Dourakis Winery honors family tradition and the rich heritage of Cretan winemaking. Established in 1988 by Andreas Dourakis, this boutique winery was born from his desire to return to his roots and craft exceptional wines that reflect the essence of his homeland. Today, Andreas’ legacy is carried on by his children, Evie and Antonis, who proudly uphold their father’s vision. Together, they cultivate the land, harvest indigenous grape varieties such as Vidiano, Romeiko, Vilana, and Kosifali, and produce wines that showcase the unique flavors of Crete. At Dourakis Winery, sustainability is a top priority. Through organic farming practices, collaboration with local growers, and energy self-sufficiency, the winery is committed to preserving the natural beauty of the land for future generations. Visitors are warmly welcomed year-round to explore the vineyards, enjoy wine tastings, and savor locally inspired dishes at the onsite restaurant.
