Perched amidst the olive groves of Tinos, Avdos House stands as a tribute to local heritage and modern comfort. Designed by Maria Vidali Architecture Studio, this 55-square-meter retreat seamlessly blends into its surroundings, offering a serene escape for a couple or Airbnb guests. The house consists of two connected units on a concrete plateau, with steps leading from the wild landscape to a cozy courtyard and into the living spaces. Inside, an open-plan layout connects the kitchen and living room, while large glass doors frame views of the diverse landscape. Inspired by traditional island architecture, the interior features concrete and timber surfaces, including a ceiling adorned with local slates and chestnut beams. Sustainable practices are woven into the design, with solar panels providing electricity and water sourced from a nearby spring.
