Nestled in the vibrant streets of Monastiraki, the Hermina Athens shop, designed by HYLE, is not just a boutique but a perfect blend of architectural finesse and jewelry artistry. HYLE’s response to the challenge of capturing Hermina’s essence was simple yet profound — an all-natural material palette resulting in a space that feels both raw and refined. The design concept draws inspiration from a primitive, cave-like ambiance, featuring fluid forms that celebrate the female body, paying homage to the iconic Aphrodite of Knidos. The ground floor, strategically designed to attract attention amid the bustling streets, houses the shopping and lounging areas. Here, a unique touch emerges with a jewelry bar that doubles as an actual bar, offering guests a complete Hermina experience. Ascending beyond, the upper floors cater to the operational needs of the business, while the basement and rooftop areas provide behind-the-scenes functionality and a secluded outdoor space for special events. In crafting the Hermina store, HYLE has seamlessly woven together elements of hospitality and bespoke experiences, creating a sensorial retail space where the jewelry takes center stage.
