In collaboration with The Poster Club, Ana Santl, Slovenia-born, and Athens-based photographer recently launched her print Summer Memories Collection. The collection pays homage to her love for Greece and capturing fleeting moments on analog film. As the photographer refers in her conversation with The Poster Club team, “Working with analog film gives moments of pause. There is a limit of exposures, Ana explains, that allows for only certain snapshots to be actually captured. The risk of technical imperfections becomes part of the story”.
The series of photographs was created after days of photoshoot of anise and ouzo in Naxos. “I like to add a couple of days on its location whenever that’s possible and get to know the place and its surroundings at my own pace”, says Ana. The motives on the prints were created in-between moments of work and travel. Ana and her family carried the prints on evening walks, to the beach, and in the garden in order to find the perfect spots. As she describes, “It was a fun process and the series that we created became a memory of its own”.
