Designing for a demanding audience that embraces the contradictions of everyday life, La Vaca Loca creates unisex lines with loose, oversized styles to fit a modern, everyday wardrobe of quality and high aesthetics. The new collection consists of pieces combining attention to detail and a well-made-yet-minimalist response to fast fashion.
As the design team mentions, “On the Wing collection is inspired by Sonation, the sound produced by the whirring wings of birds just before they fly. The collection explores this diminutive moment just before the ultimate flying away. The speedy flight of the swarming numbers of birds offers a very different perspective of life; that of freedom”.Cardamom and mushroom gray in different tonalities are selected as the main colors of the collection. White and off-white exude power as different shades of grey and the dominance of black maintain the collection’s urban element in a summery version. The inspiration for the SS23 collection is completed with three prints designed exclusively by the LVL team. “Cardamom picnic borrows its name from cardamom seeds and composes a checkered pattern. The biology of insects and the” flying ” world is the inspiration for the print “bug life” and finally “black check”, it is a journey into infinity with vertical and horizontal lines that fill all visible space and invades the very borders on which they are located”, say the designers.
Textures, dyeing and innovative colors emphasize the particularities of each material.
