Located in the newly regenerated neighborhood of Kypseli, Eprepe bar is a new-age bar that keeps deep ties with its surrounding area and the locals. Delicious bites, all made in-house, are a prelude to the drinks menu which features a tipsy sweep of cocktails, beers, and wines to enjoy in a truly welcoming ambiance. Minimal and clean, but full of thoughtful touches, the bar is designed as the perfect spot to while away time with friends, drinks, and seasonal tastes made with the zero-waste philosophy in mind. Following the human-centric design approach of the space, graphic designer Pelagia Metziki designed Eprepe bar’s brand identity with a focus on small, impactful moments, like the ones we all experience in a bar. A series of characters/hands forming animals – a goose, an octopus, a turkey, a fish, a rabbit, a squid- is created as an interesting conversation starter, suitable for any given relaxed time in a bar. As the designer describes, “Our hands are the main characters when we are enjoying a night out with friends. We do hundreds of emphatic gestures, grab our glasses, touch our friends’ shoulders, and play with the cutlery. The playful image of Eprepe uses descriptive language that speaks to the soul of its identity.” The bar with its impressive name, meaning “should”, is created to invite its guests not to drink on an empty stomach in a hip neighborhood that is now living a second, slow-paced kind of life.
