Villa Pefki is a family-run complex of 5-holiday apartments, situated on a leafy hill full of pine trees, very close to the city of Chania.
The complex was built in the early 90s and was designed in respect of the surrounding environment, taking references from the local and contemporary architecture. The five apartments are arranged in 3 levels, each one with its private terrace and a large common pool in between them.
“In 2016 our office took on the refurbishment of the interiors of the apartments in order to give a fresh and contemporary look. It was decided that the whole project will take place gradually and that each one of the five apartments will have its distinctive style and identity.
All the interior spaces were rearranged to be more flexible and comfortable. Most of the existing furniture was transformed or renovated while other pieces were kept untouched reminding the original design. All new items were tailor made to meet the needs of each space or hand picked and selected from contemporary Greek designers (such as Iro Skouloudi and Giannis Mamoutzis).
“Koukounari”, “Kyklamino” and “Thea” suites were the first to be renovated, as the smallest and the most “neglected” ones. Their open space of the living room and the kitchen were re-designed aiming at an easy and cozy living while the bedrooms were upgraded to contemporary holiday standards. The colours and the materials of the apartments were inspired by the calmness of the surrounding environment and nature.”
