The common characteristics of MEET THE CAT’s collections are geometry and minimalistic aesthetic. The designer behind the brand, Ioanna Koulouri, is trying to balance the similarity and contrast of elements, creating conceptual jewelry collections based each time on a theme that expresses her mood and aesthetics.
Ioanna was born in Athens and raised in a creative family. Her mother was a fashion designer making sur mesure clothing and her father is a self-taught multi craftsman. From a very young age she loved tools, materials and techniques. She studied Statistics at the University of Piraeus and worked in advertising for a few years until she decided that she had to fulfill her need for creativity in order to be happy. So she left her job, audited art courses and in 2005 she designed her first jewelry collection under the name MEET THE CAT.
Since then her jewelry collections were exhibited in many stores and galleries in Greece and abroad, she has participated in various exhibitions and has cooperated with fellow designers on synergic projects.
