Most of Konstantinos Doumpenidis’ work tries to communicate the feelings of his portraits – of either persons or objects. His camera captures simple themes which become unique through his own sense of color and light.
“It’s the impression of my need to speak while being unaware of what i’m about to say. It’s the hope for everything that happened momentarily to remain as it is. I take photographs of the inertia that people’s senses carry and of the objects that seem to have a face and a soul. Through this lack of emotion, I attempt to trigger the unique and personal way each and every one of us perceives things.”
Konstantinos Doumpenidis was named Young Greek Photographer of the Year by the Hellenic Center of Photography in 2013.
