An interview with We Design Studio: “Greek design is full of hope”

When Philippos Photiadis, an architect, Sergios Fotiadis, a product designer, and Theano Petridou, graphic designer joined forces to establish We Design, they chose a name which describes exactly what they do: design anything that can be designed. Since 2001, they have recruited professionals from various relevant fields (typographers, engineers, manufacturers, designers etc) and have completed a vast array of works, designing from corporate identities and product branding to functional and decorative objects, as well as houses. Their interest in redefining the concept of souvenir led to the «Greece Revisited» line of products, featuring references to the Greek history, tradition and everyday culture from the ancient years until today. Balancing between concept and functionality, We Design have managed to give distinctive Greek elements a new lease of life in a very imaginative and humorous way.
